Now Playing: Hilary Duff- With Love

Dear God,

Last week, I attended adult school clases at NoHo. I need them to be eligible for graduation, so I had little choice. My first period "teacher" is Ms. Sarmiento, who also happened to be my Saturday School teacher a couple years ago. My second period "teacher" is Ms. Gibbs, whom I had never met before.

Last Friday, I reached the halfway point of Bio2 (Gibbs). She gave me a mid-term exam, and allowed me to use the book because the test was "horrible." When I turned in the test at the end of the period, she exclaimed, "You finished the exam?! You belong at Cal-Tech!"

Today I expect to reach the halfway point of my Bio1 class. And by the way, it's only been a week of night school. Graduation, here I come!*

*hopefully.

DODGERS SUNDAY: LA 3 SD 2 SP: Lowe, C. Young LP: Hoffman HR: Ethier

DODGERS SATURDAY: LA 1, SD 4 WP: Peavy LP: Penny

DODGERS FRIDAY: LA 7 SD 0 SP: Kuroda (WP)

This weekend, I actually had a chance to get to know the area where we now live in. On Saturday, I walked with Eduardo and Leo to Wal-Mart, and I looked for some Ashley Tisdale merchandise or Dodgers merchandise for my new room (I found none).

Saturday, a DISH network teach came by and installed service at our house. He installed the old kind of DVR receivers we used to use when we had DISH in El Sereno, although he instaleed it so that I had to share the recording space with my parents.

I spent all weekend hoping for the internet to start working, but the AT&T techs were no help at all. One of them told me to hang up, and that he would call back in 2 minutes, after he finished conducting "tests" on my modem. He never called back.

On Sunday, Dad called again late at night, and the person that answered tried to help, even though it was past service hours. The technician said there was nothing he could do, and for Dad to call back during service hours. He did, however, hint that they might have to send me a new modem. The reason I needed the internet this weekend was to complete my research project for Bio2 night school, but I'll have to finish it in the future.

MYSPACE: I'm still on hiatus. I'm increasingly worried that I'll lose my spot on the OLG Republican ballot.

AIM: I want to talk to Zach and Angele again!

FANTASY BASEBALL: I already missed one week for each of my four leagues; missing much more could cause irreparable damage. Hopefully Angele is keeping up with her team.

Dear God,

I completely forgot to tell you about my dreams! I had two dreams this weekend that I remember:

First dream: I dreamt I was at this house, and there was a soiree of sorts going on. There were many people around.

I entered this room in the house, and I saw a crowd formed, watching something or someone. When I got closer to the front, I realized they were listening to Ann Coulter speak. After she finished, the crowd dissipated, but I stayed behind to meet her and shake her hand.

Later, I was outside the house, when I saw James (Schulps), who happened to be there as well. "James! Stay where you are! Don't move! I'll be right back!" I wanted James and Ann Coulter to meet face to face, since I knew James disliked her, and I wanted to know what he'd do. I went inside and looked for Coulter, but I couldn't find her anymore! James got tired of waiting and disappeared after a while; once he did, I found Coulter again. I got her autograph, then I woke up.

Second dream: JohnRobin (Garcia) is not someone I'd consider "confrontational," but he was plenty of that in my dream. I dreamt he and I were at school, and there was this rubblerouser that was provoking him. After a while he got so aggravated that he tackled the other guy to the ground, and they got in a fight. Both were caught by an administrator, and I presume they were punished.

Now Playing: Timbaland/Keri Hilson- The Way I Are

Dear God,

Yesterday, Kathie came to visit NoHo! She looked pretty much the same, and the only thing she said to me was that my hair was longer than hers when she was a senior. "You should have seen him with cornrows," Jason mentioned. "I saw pictures," she responded.

I missed CSU this week, for the first time since the week before Winter Break.

After school, I took the midterm exam in Bio1. I got the results of my Bio2 midterm exam, in period 2. In between, I went to the library and logged onto MySpace, where I read messages by Kitty Kat and Lenora. Lenora just messaged to say " we miss you"; Katya messaged to ask why I hadn't been on AIM. When I explained to her, she decided to tell me through message what she wanted to tell me: she is bisexual.

On another note, every day that goes by without my having internet access makes me worry that I'll lose my nomination for OLG president.

Now Playing: Stone Sour- Through Glass

930a

Dear God,

Yesterday, there was an earthquake drill during fifth period. That's good, because Gilliland's class is extremely boring.

Since we were dismissed early, I had some time to go online at the library. I posted in some of the groups.

I could only stay focused enough during Bio1 class to finish two assignments. Today I have to redo my midterm (since I got 66%), so I'll probably be 3 or 4 assignments behind the pace I want to be in.

In Bio 2, on the other hand, I'm well on pace to finish next Tuesday or Wednesday (not counting the research reports). I only had to redo 3 problems to get an 80%.

Tomorrow: Town Hall meeting.

DODGERS TUESDAY: LA 2, AZ 5 Ethier (LA): came within inches of 3-run HR to tie game

Now Playing: Fergie- Clumsy

825p

Dear God,

Today, McCollaum chaperoned 25 of us as we took the subway to the Omni Hotel for a Town Hall meeting. It's the second one I've been to, and the final one.

The night before, Dad, Mom, and I spent the time from as soon as I got home until right before going to sleep, looking for my business suit. We found everything except the shoes; I had to borrow Dad's.

This morning, I woke up with 10 minutes to get  dressed. I quickly put on the suit, gelled my hair, and off we went.

Once at school, the first person I saw that I recognized...was McCollaum. He reminded me to meet him after second period. I went to the bathroom and he went to the Main Office; we remet minutes later, then walked to his room.

I stayed in his classroom to read the packet that was provided for us. Suddenly, Dr. Barnett popped in. "My, you look nice," she told me. "Thank you!" McCollaum and I both responded. "I thought you were talking to me, but I see you were talking to Luis!" said McCollaum.

"You looked nice too!" Barnett assured him.

I ended up cutting the permission slips for McCollaum, and when I did, I noticed that a lot of junios were attending. One of those juniors was Kacey Hori.

Some time later, I was in upstairs Randolph. "What are you all dressed up for?" asked Dr. Irani as he passed by and saw me.

"Town Hall," I told him. "From second period, until the end of the day."

"Who's going with you guys?" he asked in his amusing accent.

"McCollaum."

"Shit," he responded. "They're going to ask me to cover for him. I hate that."

Ceramics: I did nothing, since I was in my suit. Fortunately, I had already finished my gargoyle the day before, so I could afford a day off.

Biology: Hatem lectured about the excretory system.

We met in McCollaum's room after second period. Everyone was there, except for the "Asian Congregation." That pissed McCollaum off noticeably.

Anyways, then I spent some time talking to Jennifer Kuang while we all walked to the subway station. We took the subway to Pershing Square, then walkd uphill to get to the Omni Hotel.

The hotel was obviously very elegant. McCollaum spent the time interrogating people; in the meantime, I spent my time looking at eyecandy (Kacey). She looked hot, and she was only wearing a business suit....

Anyways, the speaker was H. David Nahai. I don't know where he's from, but he had a slight accent. He's the CEO of the LA Department of Water and Power, and he talked about water and energy conservation. The food, as I expected, was horrible. Fortunately, there was at least something not disgusting tastewise- small pieces of chicken. But the rest was salad, so I didn't eat much.

Kacey, on the other hand, not only dug in, but she was correcting people's etiquette! She sat across from me (we had three tables; McCollaum and Kacey were at the same table as me), so, yeah....eyecandy.

After the Q&A, we had a "one on one" session with Mr. Nahai. And after that, we took a group picture with him, before leaving the hotel.

Now Playing: Carrie Underwood- Before He Cheats

910a

First off, today is Robert's 18th birthday. John said he "heard Robert got into a very good school." I need to talk to him soon.

Before writing about this last weekend, I'm going to finish writing about Town Hall.

***

We walked back to the subway station, then took the second train back to NoHo. I needed fifteen cents to have enough for a pass; McCollaum was like, "15 cents, unbelievable!", before giving me a quarter.

We didn't arrive back to school before class was over, but our backpacks were in McCollaum's room, so that was okay. I did overhear McCollaum take Mark Na outside into the hall and lecture him about something, voice tone raised and angry. I walked to my Bio1 class.

The only other noteworthy thing about Thursday is that Ms. Gibbs was absent.

***

This weekend, I got the internet again! Cizzle and I flipped the ticket again, and now I'm running for president. GOP Representatives and John announced an independent campaign, but the Republican Party backstabbed me and endorsed that campaign for president.

Therein lies a controversy: GOP Representatives doesn't have a state. According to Cizzle, this means he's ineligible to run. However, according to the Constitution, that is not a requirement to run for president. So is he eligible?

Also in the OLG, I am now: Luis Santoyo, Republican representative of the commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Outside of the virtual world:

Tias Irene and Norma came over on Sunday, but I didn't see them (I only saw Cesarin). Nina Angela came over also, but I didn't see her, either. Leo and I were playing in the FLB World Series, but it was postponed because of sprinklers (the field we played in was in the front, the "Coliseum"; the back="the Stadium"). There is talk about bringing FLB back for another season.

FLB World Series: LA 3, NY 11, 1 out, man on third, postponed Top 2nd.

-I was in a chatroom with Angele and Zak the other day; she announced she suffered from lung cancer and has only a 17% chance of living past 5 years.

-Address of last house: 40155 161st Street E, Palmdale, CA 93591

Now Playing: Shakira- Hips Don't Lie (f/ Wyclef Jean)

"If Carly is gone, I don't know how interested I'll be afterwards." --me, earlier in my journal

Dear God,

Well, wouldn't you know: Carly is indeed gone.

Now, I didn't watch "Idol" on Tuesday when they were actually performing, but I did find out that the judges though Carly Smithson's performance was one of the best of the night. So then why the fuck was Carly eliminated???

Said Randy Jackson: "It must have been a popularity contest." I can think of no other logical explanation; that must have been it. Carly was the best one of the competition, by far. She should have won.

Now that Alaina Whitaker, Kady Malloy, Kristy Lee Cook, and Luke Menard are all eliminated, I don't know if I care to keep watching this season. The only contestant mildly attractive now is Brooke White, at least relative to everybody else. But she sucked on Tuesday, going so far as to have Ricky Minor's band start her song over again. Other than that, her songs are usually so boring; I don't know if I'd be able to stand rooting for her. The only other female is Syesha Mercado, who is not attractive.

Yesterday, Zach, Angele, and I chatted in a chatroom. We talked about stuff, when the conversation turned to sports. Zach was "bragging" that Detroit was better than everyone, and that the Tigers were the best team in the MLB. I said the Dodgers were. He claimed Comerica and Tiger Stadium were the best stadium in the league; I said that was Dodger Stadium. He began naming Tigers "greats," I countered with Dodger greats. Finally, I beat him when he brought up "when was the last time the Dodgers won anything?"

"Define 'anything'," I instructed.

"A pennant or better" was his response.

"Why does it have to be a pennant?" I demanded. "Why not a championship or better, hm?"

The answer? Because if we go by the last time our teams won a championship, I'd have him beat by four years.

TIGERS: 4 WS championships, 10 AL Pennants. DODGERS: 6 WS championships, 21 NL pennants, 2 wild card berths

Tiger Stadium: 1912-1999, Comerica Park: 2000-present. Dodger Stadium: 1962-present.

So yeah, he can suck it.

Now Playing: Miley Cyrus- See You Again

913a

It's that time of the year again: summer. The women are starting to wear less and less clothing. Bra straps are suddenly becoming more visible. Shirts are turning see-through. It's distracting!

I don't usually see Cylu or Anoush as often anymore, nor Marisol; certainly not Gia, Alexandra, or Karis. But I do see Kacey, Brianna, and occasionally Jodi. They regularly let their bra straps be visible. Even Carly got in on the action yesterday, exposing her light blue bra straps in math class yesterday.

That's certainly not to say that I don't think it incredibly hot when women show themselves like that, however. I'm just saying that I hate being so distracted when I'm still trying to focus on my studies to get the purgatory out of high school!

American Idol is on again today; if I watch, the contestant I will most likely root for shall be Brooke White. I'm not inclined to support a male, since history shows that the males on the show that aren't Chris Daughtry tend to be unsuccessful outside of 'Idol'-Justin Guarini, Ruben Studdard, Bo Bice, Taylor Hicks, etc. I'm not inclined to support Syesha Mercado, since blacks have been successful on the show: Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Jordin Sparks, etc. That leaves Brooke White.

Now Playing: Dodgers Baseball

855a

Dear God,

Yesterday was the first day before night school that I got to go home at regular time. Night school was officially over for me Tuesday night, both for Bio 1 with Ms. Sarmiento, and Bio 2 with Ms. Gibbs. I actually didn't expect to finish both at the same time; I thought I would be done with Bio 2 well before Bio 1. I finished with a "B" in Bio 1, and an "A" in Bio 2. Now I'm eligible for on-stage graduation in June! I made sure to inform Turner that I was finished, so that she could expect her official copy forwarded to her.

American Idol: This is ridiculous! First Luke/Alaina, then Kady and Kristy, then Carly, and now Brooke. Dammit! Will I ever get a break?!!

Brooke White was eliminated from the competition last night. It's not all that surprising, since she should have been eliminated the week before...but at that point in the competition, she was the only mildly attractive one left. This means it is obvious who is going to win: the "Chosen One." David Archuleta should have been gone long ago, except that all the girls drool over him.

I was talking to Kitty Kat for some time yesterday, and she actually agreed with me about Carly, and how she shouldn't have gotten kicked out. However, she doesn't want Archuleta kicked off, either. She's one of those girls.

This is how I predict the end result shall be: 1- David Archuleta 2- David Cook 3- Syesha Mercado 4- Jason Castro 5- Brooke White 6- Carly Smithson 7- Kristy Lee Cook 8- Michael Johns 9- Chikezie 10- Ramiele Malubay 11- Amanda Overmyer 12- David Hernandez.

This is how it would have been had I had my way: 1- Carly Smithson 2- Kady Malloy 3- Alaina Whitaker 4- David Cook 5- Kristy Lee Cook 6- Luke Menard 7- Brooke White 8- Amanda Overmyer.

Dodgers Wednesday: LA 13, FLA 1 WP: Billingsley (1-4) LP: Olsen HR: Martin (3) NL WEST: Arizona --, Dodgers 5.5

Regarding MySpace: Yesterday was the last day Vertigo One and Lenora were co-moderators of my "Marriage Matters" group; today, Lindsay (selected by Vertigo) and Sam (selected by Lenora) officially began their term as co-mods. Cain entered his name for consideration, but unfortunately for him, he is not eligible for a co-modship, since he is not anywhere from "moderate" to "pro-traditional marriage."

Kevin, Willenlos, and Crash have gotten kicked out since the group began; Bridget inches closer each day, it seems.

In the OLG, the moderators decided to simultaneously resign in order to protest their being underappreciated by the rest of the OLG. President Cizzle resigned, AUCP chairwoman Angele resigned, and Libertarian Party chair Big Red resigned. They originally were going to destroy the OLG by leaving without giving the keys to a new mod; I talked them out of that. Instead, they gave the keys to former President MK, Ian, and myself. Cizzle also made me president, so now the duty to repair the OLG has fallen to me. The first thing I did was get in contact with Ian. I used the mod account to create a new group for us to discuss mod issues. Then, as mod, I addressed the OLG, and announced that I would be suspending elections indefinitely, until order was restored in the OLG. I also urged the head of the John trials to speed up the trial process, so as to get that over with as quickly as possible.

Once the Top Three announced their resignation, more people followed: New York Rep. Duck Hunter, California Rep. Shahe, and the entire AUCP. The OLG's membership, as a result, was seriously dwarfed.

My next move, I'm thinking, will be to hire former president Cody as my chief of staff, and perhaps bring Kanga-Kucha back into the OLG.
